Did you ever think we'd be getting lessons in power politics from the French? Well, under Barack Obama, that sad moment has in fact arrived.

The Wall Street Journal reports that French President Nicolas Sarzoky wanted to confront Iran at the U.N. last week, but it was President Obama who refused. A top administration official told the French they didn't want to spoil the image of Obama's success at the U.N.

I'm not kidding.

According to The Journal, President Sarzoky was so frustrated by Obama's spinelessness that he mocked him indirectly in his U.N. address saying, "We are right to talk about the future, but the present comes before the future, and the present includes two major nuclear crises... We live in the real world, not a virtual one."

I never thought I'd say this, Mr. President, but you should listen to the French.

Note: I owe French President Sarzoky an apology for my indictment of him along with Obama: President Sarzoky, I am sorry for calling into question your grasp of the situation. And yes, I agree with Sean, "I never thought I'd say this, Mr. President, but you should listen to the French." (Now I know WHY Sarzoky looked so uncomfortable sharing the stage with Obama at the joint news conference.)

Update: Why Qom Spells Doom

When I wrote the previous post Why Qom Spells Doom I had not seen nor heard the Katie Couric interview with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Here Glenn Beck interviews Joel Rosenberg, producer and author of the film and book "Inside the Revolution" on Tuesday's "Glenn Beck Show" aired 9/29/2009.




What is the MOST disturbing part of the interview (at 6:50) is when it is revealed that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad states as a matter of fact in Katie Couric's interview that he "is in DIRECT communication with this Islamic messiah", i.e. "the 12th Imam."

What that means is we have the leader of a nation with nuclear bomb aspirations (how close is anybody's guess) who claims (with a straight face) that he speaks to a person who is living and breathing today who was born some 1000 years ago! If that is NOT the definition of insanity - PLEASE SOMEBODY tell me what is!

The Obama administration thinks that you can just sit down with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and have have a reasonable conversation.

News Flash: You can't have a reasonable conversation with someone who is insane, because by DEFINITION they do not have the capability to reason!

Why Qom Spells Doom

There were dramatic revelations on the world stage last week concerning Iranian aspirations for the enrichment of uranium intent on developing a nuclear bomb. When the leaders of the USA, the United Kingdom and (of all nations) France (could you tell by Sarzoky's body language that he really didn't want to be there?) all stood on a platform together and collectively condemned Iran for their deception of world leaders and their 'good faith' efforts to work with Iran on this issue, a proverbial "line in the sand" was drawn. Then, in just a few short hours, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps quickly crossed that line when it launched what it called "Great Prophet 4" missiles to assess "recent development and tactical progress" in Iran's missile-defense systems, according to Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami.

News about Iran's uranium enrichment program was not really 'new,' for those who have followed the development of the Iranian nuclear program. We have known about this site for years. But what is 'new' is the action of the world of calling Iran on it, and on a WORLD STAGE no less! This was designed and planned to have as much impact as possible on the Iranians. Their response, launch "Great Prophet 4" missiles!

This tells us (at least it tells me) that Iran doesn't really care what the world thinks. As a matter of fact they seem to be following the beliefs and teachings of what some in the Islamic faith have called the "12th Imam," or the "Hidden Imam." Now most of you have probably never even heard of the 12th Imam but Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (or as one commentator put it "I'm-a-nut-job") believes this doctrine to core of his soul. It's kind of like "the Rapture" in Christian circles. It's not found in the Scriptures as a book chapter and verse doctrine, but there are those who compile a conglomeration of verses and teach it as Christian doctrine. And those who believe in "the Rapture" REALLY believe it and will not be dissuaded from it. So it is with Islam and the 12th Imam.

Who Is The 12th Imam?
Within the Shiite, (which is predominate in Iran), it is prophesied that there is a coming 12th Imam who is the great spiritual savior. This Imam is named Abu al-Qasim Muhammad or also called Muhammad al Mahdi. He is said to have been born the son of the 11th Imam, Hasan Al-Askari and his wife, the granddaughter of an Emperor. There are conflicting statements of her name being either Fatima or Nargis Khatoon.

Most accounts of the story say that al Mahdi went into hiding as a child around the age of 5 years (about 13th Century). It said he has been ‘in hiding’ in caves ever since but will supernaturally return just before the Day of Judgment.

According to the Hadith the criteria for the Hidden Imam are:

• He will be a descendant of Muhammad and the son of Fatima
• Will have a broad forehead and pointed nose
• Will return just before the end of the world
• His appearance will be preceded by a number of prophetic events during 3 years of horrendous world chaos, tyranny and oppression
• Will escape from Medina to Mecca, thousands will pledge allegiance to him
• Will rule over the Arabs and the world for 7 years
• Will eradicate all tyranny and oppression bringing harmony and total peace
• Will lead a prayer in Mecca which Jesus will be at his side and follow him in

Thus the 12th Imam theory plays heavily into the world’s current concerns with Iran. The Shiite Muslim President of Iran, Ahmadinejad, is deeply committed to the Islamic Messiah, al Mahdi. There have been many through the years claiming to be the Hidden Imam but Ahmadinejad believes he is yet to come. He (I'm-a-nut-job) claims that he is to personally prepare the world for the coming Mahdi. And in order to save the world, it must be in a state of chaos and subjugation. Ahmadinejad claims he was “directed by Allah to pave the way for the glorious appearance of the Mahdi”. This apocalyptic perspective alludes to some very frightening implications with a man leading a country with a nuclear button just waiting to be pushed.

Add to this volatile mix, a group of world leaders who seem to be ready to join hands at the U.N. and sing "Kum By Ya" ending with a plea, "Can't we all just get along?" and you have a recipe for DISASTER on a global scale! (I don't know if disaster is a strong enough word?) Where is Winston Churchill when you NEED HIM?

The leaders of the USA, the United Kingdom and France (?) all seem to operate from the mistaken notion "people are really good at heart. They still harbor a naivete about the 'basic good' in man; allow me to indulge. I am a preacher and as such this dilemma about basic good, or basic evil has been at the center of my theological belief system. When asked in graduate school the question, "Is man basically good, or basically evil?" I could not answer the question for about a week. If good, then why Nazi Germany? Why do children lie when no one has taught them too? If evil, then why is there love? Why do these same children offer their most prized possessions to share with others? (I could go into greater detail but you get my point) After struggling with this dilemma I finally concluded that this was a false dichotomy. Men were neither basically good, nor were they basically evil, men are BORN basically SELFISH. That is why we have the propensity to evil, the propensity to sin and the propensity for good, for denial of self for the good of others, to learn to NOT BE SELFISH. The greatest selfish act is to take the life of my brother, the greatest unselfish act is to lay down my life for my friend, thus the Cross is the greatest good.

Obama and the rest of the world leaders FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THIS POINT! They work off the erroneous belief that men are "basically good at heart;" they are NOT!

ALL MEN ARE BORN SELFISH! All men are born with the propensity to sin! All men are BORN with the capability to commit sins against humanity! To commit CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY! Unless we are taught better. Unless we are taught to serve and sacrifice for the greater good instead of sacrificing the greater good for ourselves. Islam's teaching of the 12th Imam preaches the INTENTIONAL DESTRUCTION of humanity in the name of Islam!

Yet We Continue This Tried and True Tactic:


The world continues to ignore the simple fact that as he has stated himself on several occasions, Ahmadinejad claims he was “directed by Allah to pave the way for the glorious appearance of the Mahdi”. The leaders of the world continue to refuse to take "I'm-a-nut-job" at his word. Thus, like Hitler before him, he will have to show the world that he REALLY MEANS EXACTLY what he says before anyone (other than Israel) will believe him.



Questions:

Does Obama have the intestinal fortitude to take the BOLD ACTION necessary to nip-it-in-the-bud (a la, Barney Fife) when no other president since Carter has had the stones to do so?

Will there be a NEXT TIME to tell the world, "We told you so last time" so that when the next time comes the world will FINALLY listen to a raving lunatic when he starts ranting and raving about eradicating people from the face of the earth?

Or does Qom (pronounced koom) spell doom for all of us?

Thursday afternoon, at its Live Pulse Blog ("Breaking News on the Health Care Fight"), Carrie Burdoff Brown reported the following:

Flout the mandate penalty? Face the IRS

Americans who fail to pay the penalty for not buying insurance would face legal action from the Internal Revenue Service, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation.

The remarks Thursday from the committee's chief of staff, Thomas Barthold, seems to further weaken President Barack Obama's contention last week that the individual mandate penalty, which could go as high as $1,900, is not a tax increase.

Under questioning from Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.), Barthold said the IRS would "take you to court and undertake normal collection proceedings."

Ensign pursued the line of questioning because he said a lot of Americans don't believe the Constitution allows the government to mandate the purchase of insurance.

Friday, Brown reported that Ensign got a clarification on what the result of "normal collection proceedings" might be, and got it in writing (HT Hot Air):

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."

The postscript in Barthold's note is not in the text of Politico's report. Though it's not particularly legible, it says that "Felony tax evasion provides for restitution and a fine of up to $100,000 for an individual and up to five years in jail."

B-b-b-but Barack Obama told ABC "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos on Sunday that that these fines aren't taxes, and even ridiculed him for looking up the definition of the word in the dictionary (SEE: Obama's Nontax Tax post below):

Obama's Nontax Tax

President Obama didn't make much news on his round of five Sunday talk shows yesterday, with one notable exception. The President revealed a great deal about his philosophy of government and how he defines a tax increase. It turns out the President thinks a health-care tax is not a tax if he thinks the tax is for your own good.

Appearing on ABC's "This Week," Mr. Obama was asked by host George Stephanopoulos about the "individual mandate." Under Max Baucus's Senate bill that Mr. Obama supports, everyone would be required to buy health insurance or else pay a penalty as high as $3,800 a year. Mr. Stephanopoulos posed the obvious question about this kind of coercion when "the government is forcing people to spend money, fining you if you don't [buy insurance]. . . . How is that not a tax?"

"Well, hold on a second, George," Mr. Obama replied. "Here's what's happening. You and I are both paying $900, on average—our families—in higher premiums because of uncompensated care. Now what I've said is that if you can't afford health insurance, you certainly shouldn't be punished for that. That's just piling on. If, on the other hand, we're giving tax credits, we've set up an exchange, you are now part of a big pool, we've driven down the costs, we've done everything we can and you actually can afford health insurance, but you've just decided, you know what, I want to take my chances. And then you get hit by a bus and you and I have to pay for the emergency room care, that's . . ."

"That may be," Mr. Stephanopoulos responded, "but it's still a tax increase." (In fact, uncompensated care accounts for about only 2.2% of national health spending today, but that's another subject.)

Mr. Obama: "No. That's not true, George. The—for us to say that you've got to take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase. What it's saying is, is that we're not going to have other people carrying your burdens for you anymore . . ." In other words, like parents talking to their children, this levy—don't call it a tax—is for your own good.

Mr. Stephanopoulos tried again: "But it may be fair, it may be good public policy—"

Mr. Obama: "No, but—but, George, you—you can't just make up that language and decide that that's called a tax increase."

"I don't think I'm making it up," Mr. Stephanopoulos said. He then had the temerity to challenge the Philologist in Chief, with an assist from Merriam-Webster. He cited that dictionary's definition of "tax"—"a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes."

Mr. Obama: "George, the fact that you looked up Merriam's Dictionary, the definition of tax increase, indicates to me that you're stretching a little bit right now. . . ."

Mr. Stephanopoulos: "I wanted to check for myself. But your critics say it is a tax increase."

Mr. Obama: "My critics say everything is a tax increase. My critics say that I'm taking over every sector of the economy. You know that. Look, we can have a legitimate debate about whether or not we're going to have an individual mandate or not, but . . ."

Mr. Stephanopoulos: "But you reject that it's a tax increase?"

Mr. Obama: "I absolutely reject that notion."

If you can follow this reasoning, then you probably also think that a new entitlement is the best way to reduce entitlement spending. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the Senate's individual mandate will result in new revenues of some $20 billion over 10 years because some people will choose to opt out of ObamaCare—or because they can't afford to buy in, given that other taxes and regulation will make health care more expensive. If that $20 billion doesn't count as tax revenue, then what is it?

And for that matter, what doesn't count as a nontax under Mr. Obama's definition? All taxes can be justified in the name of providing some type of service, however wasteful. Mr. Obama complains that "My critics say everything is a tax increase," as if that is his political problem. His real problem is that the individual mandate really is a tax, but the President doesn't want voters to think of it that way, because taxes are unpopular.

I quote Charles Hammons from the Comments Section:

Mr.Obama has revealed himself as a tyrant with the excuse that he is doing it for our own good. That he might actually believe his own B.S. is rather frightening.

To your points. FICA (social security) is indeed a tax and money I've shoved down a rat hole with no expectations of ever seeing a bleeping dime. The alleged social security trust fund contains worthless notes issued by Congress, and the Supreme Court has ruled that citizens have no guarantee of any return. Medicare is a tax.

When it is expropriated from my paycheck, it is a diminution of what I keep for myself. In the immortal words of a notorious swimmer, "If it walks like a duck, if it quacks like a duck, It's a duck."

Some politicos call them "fees" hoping we wont' notice. However you slice it, whatever government takes away from the people is a tax, regardless of disingenuous labels. Trying to tell me it's for my own good is the most immoral form of excuse for tyranny.

50 year old Jaime Enrique Feliciano was sentenced yesterday in Sacramento to 25 years in prison. He was convicted of child molestation, possession of child pornography, and manufacturing child pornography.

Feliciano was working for the state of California when the Sacramento County's DA's office was tipped off to his illegal activity last September. They searched his home, where they found thousands of pictures depicting children in various sex acts, Also found were countless images and videos both on his personal laptop and his State owned computer. He also raped a young girl, then attempted to keep the woman from going to the police.

Feliciano was convicted in 1993 of child molestation, and again of failing to register as a sex offender in 2006. He was working in the Department of Insurance for the state when he was arrested. The question must be asked why the state would have hired a twice convicted child molester.

In addition, Feliciano was the President of the 50 District Labor Council for the SEIU.

The SEIU is a proud partner and supporter of another criminal organization: ACORN.

GLENN BECK, HOST: President Obama has said we need a civilian force that is as highly-trained and well-funded as our U.S. military for domestic purposes. Why is that?

I sat down and talked to David Horowitz. He's a reformed 1960s radical and former communist.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

DAVID HOROWITZ, FRONTPAGEMAG.COM: Barack Obama is an ideologue. He comes out of the left that has been trying to get power in this country for half a century, and this is their best chance to do it, and the army he is speaking of is only one of many armies. When he appoints an avowed communist, a guy who was arrested in a race riot.

BECK: Hang on just a second, because I want to — I want to make sure...

HOROWITZ: Yes.

BECK: Not throwing around the word "communist," your parents were communists, right?

HOROWITZ: This guy says he's a communist.

BECK: Yes. I know that. I know that. Just so you — so people who don't know, your parents were communists?

HOROWITZ: Yes, my parents were card-carrying communists.

BECK: Card-carrying communists: You were a 1960s radical.

HOROWITZ: That's right.

BECK: You were part of — you were cut from this cloth.

HOROWITZ: I was cut from the movement, the 1960s movement of radicals, which is now running the show. It was done by children of communist or children of communists to revive the communist movement.

BECK: All right. So, as a former communist and a guy raised by communists, not only has he said it, but what gives you the — what are the earmarks of not just a communist, a radical communist like Van Jones?

HOROWITZ: You can't call yourself a communist three years after the Berlin Wall fell and not understand what went on in communism and not support it. That is, to the left, the left sees — everything that the left does is a crime. They say the capitalists did it, the devil made me do it. This is like with Fidel Castro. He has bankrupted his country; he's a lunatic. But what they do is they blame it on the United States.

So when I see a guy who calls himself a communist, who has organized a revolutionary movement that's called STORM, to organize a revolutionary movement, and whites books in which white people, and corporations are pure evil. This was paradise America before, white people came and ruined it — I know in my gut, because I was there, what's going on. These people want to destroy the system that we live under and create their fantasy.

BECK: Yes. I've never seen anything like it. We have an actual communist. We have people who want to put sterilants in drinking water. We have a socialist whose name now has been removed. We have czars with gathering power. We have the AFL-CIO now as the head of the chair — the head of the Fed in New York. We have SEIU using their muscles.

We have activists like ACORN actually having an audience with the president, yet no tea party people could meet with the president, and yet, people in America still want to give people the benefit of the doubt and say it's.

HOROWITZ: It's the great thing about this country. Everybody gets a second and a third chance, but it's becoming increasingly dangerous with these people. You have to take them at their word. What we're seeing here is what I have called — I wrote a book about it called "The Shadow Party," which has been put together by George Soros. So, you get billionaires, you get unions — radical unions, the head of the SEIU is an old SDS radical with a Leninist perspective, and you get street radicals — and Soros put them together in a coalition.

And you see it embodied in a Van Jones, a street radical who graduated from Yale Law School, and who's a protege of the Center for American Progress, which is run by Clinton's former chief of staff John Podesta. That alliance was put together about five years ago, and what you are seeing unfold now are the plans that Soros laid for the 2004 election. He was defeated then when Bush unexpectedly won.

BECK: Tell me — tell me, David, when you hear — it sounds crazy and it's almost like these things are ghosts, you know? It's like you are chasing ghosts. Well, OK, he was in STORM. Big deal, that's over. Now, he's in the Apollo Alliance. There is credible people there, credible businesses.

HOROWITZ: Yes.

BECK: The Center of American Progress — I mean, it's John Podesta, he's worked in the White House.

HOROWITZ: Yes. The Apollo Alliance is a broad coalition to advance very radical agendas. And it includes very respectable businessmen, powers in the Democratic Party, but its muscle is unions and radicals. And it was created out of Rob Borosage's the Center for the American Future. Borosage is an old SDS radical.

When you become disillusioned with the left and you see its destructive agendas and you see the way it supports America's enemies abroad and you see the way it doesn't really advance the interests of poor people or black people in America, when you become disillusioned, you turn, and you — because you are very political person, you want to tell other people.

And that's been my career and other people like me, but it's not Van Jones' career. And it's not Rob Borosage's. They buy the agenda still. They are still seeking to overthrow the system and to create a socialist future.

BECK: Do you think the president of the United Sates, Barack Obama has that agenda?

HOROWITZ: Absolutely. I have no doubt about it. You have to see where he came from. First of all, he was an operative for ACORN. He's out of the Alinsky school. He worked for the Gamaliel Foundation.

BECK: He'd say that's politics of the past.

HOROWITZ: That's nonsense. People don't change overnight. I mean, who changes overnight?

BECK: He said, well...

HOROWITZ: Besides Arianna Huffington.

(LAUGHTER)

HOROWITZ: I mean, this is not what people do. You know, people are committed. This is a moral thing for people.

When you are a radical, you believe that you are in the army of the saints, a righteous person, and it's immoral. And if you — you know, I just read actually Van Jones' book, "The Green Economy," and you can see he defends himself against people who say he's selling out.

That's the big thing you can't do. If you sell out, then you become vilified. I mean, I've been — you know, I'm just totally vilified on the left. So, there's — everybody in the left understands, you know, I don't want to be a sellout. And it's actually something I said to myself when I was young.

So, you can always tell when a radical has changed, because they tell you they're changed, and they understand what's wrong with the left, and what's wrong with the left is its agendas, what it actually does — not what it says, but what it does.

BECK: Do you think Barack Obama is the architect or the anointed one?

HOROWITZ: I think Barack Obama is the anointed one. I think that his agendas are being driven by people like Soros and Rahm Emanuel. I think that Obama, this is what he wants.

I mean, I made the mistake with Obama. I thought he was going to be smart like Clinton, and I thought he was going to understand that America is a country that you have to govern from the center, and he would be to the left of center. But I didn't think he was going to empower Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to drive that steamroller over the country and bankrupt it.

BECK: I said I was at the "Time" 100 and I'm sitting there, Van Jones was there sitting at this big table, and, you know, I'm the only one there with my philosophy. And I said, "Let me ask you this — agree or disagree with the president, forget about the policy. Has anybody stopped to think what America looks like at the end of four years with just the changes that have been proposed and put into place right now? Has anybody done that?" The silence was deafening.

HOROWITZ: It's all instrumental — that is, when you are a radical, what you are thinking of is power. It's about power. You adopt this position. You take up that issue, but it's all to advance the power. They never think about what it's going to look like or how to put it together.

I can tell you, a radical never spends five seconds on thinking what makes a society work. That's not the way they work. They want to know, you know, what they can get away with to advance this big agenda, which is you get power and you change everything.

HOROWITZ: That's the way they think.

BECK: You said that it's becoming increasingly dangerous to ignore this. Why?

HOROWITZ: Well, I have watched the growth of the left, you know, for 40 or 50 years, and this presence of movement to the left started in 1972 with McGovern. There used to be a communist party, and that communist party imploded.

Most of the people who created this new left, this — we'll call it the Alinsky left era, after its guru Saul Alinsky, supported the communists. They supported the communists. They still think that America should have pulled out of Vietnam and let 2.5 million people be slaughtered, but I have never seen it so powerful and it has never controlled a major party.

BECK: They are in control.

HOROWITZ: They are in control. The Democratic Party is no longer the party — certainly not the party of John F. Kennedy who had the same politics as Ronald Reagan.

BECK: Yes.

HOROWITZ: Hard on defense.

BECK: My grandfather was a Democrat. My whole family was a Democrat. My grandfather — I know who my grandfather was. He would not have been in the same room with many of these people. He would not.

HOROWITZ: Watch Joe Lieberman.

BECK: Yes.

HOROWITZ: He is a liberal Democrat and a liberal Democrat in a post- McGovern era and he is very concerned — concerned on national security, concerned on health care.

BECK: Is America finally waking up to what's happening in our country? The answers — next.

BECK: You know, it's about a year ago that I was saying that people in America were not paying attention. I couldn't wake them up. I couldn't get them to pay attention.

Their government was doing something to the country. And we have spent a long time together, you and me, trying to figure things out. Well, the other day, I was laying in bed with my wife and she turned to me and she said, "Are you OK? I said, "Yes."

Finally, people are starting to wake up. Millions all around the country are starting to wake up. But there is a sense of frustration that we are losing our country and people just don't know what to do. How do you — how do you dismantle what the government is putting into place?

Here again, David Horowitz:

HOROWITZ: First, let me say that I have been waiting for just conservatives to wake up for 20 years.

We refer to these people as liberals. There is nothing liberal about these people except their attitudes towards drugs — hard drugs and sex. That's what they're liberal about.

Everything else — they want to control your life. They're intolerant, bigoted and they will try to destroy you, as you are finding out, if you disagree with them.

(LAUGHTER)

HOROWITZ: Now, I think that there's — I have a strategic idea that also is just an encouragement. The country's mentality is not radical. It is not radical. It may not be conservative the way conservatives like to think, socially conservative and so forth, but it's not radical. And they understand that.

They're very good — that's why they always — they always talk about the private sector like they care about the private sector. They care to just get its money. As Lenin said, the capitalists will say you're the rope to hang them.

In my view, we should take a page out of Alinsky's book, "Rules for Radicals." And he says, what you do is you go outside the experience of your opponent and you disorient them, and you make them react the way that reveals who they are. The big secret of the left is that it claims to — and it's, of course, the Democratic Party — to be the champion of poor people, minorities, women, children, when, in fact, it is the oppressor of minorities, women and children.

BECK: I noticed this — I noticed this with ACORN. They'll take this people who are on the lowest rung of the ladder, push them into, I don't care, Mickey Mouse or whatever, forge them, you, just, we'll give you 20 bucks for every one you get. Keep bringing them in.

HOROWITZ: They use them.

BECK: And then they throw them to the wolves when they're caught and say, it was just rogue people, then they use those people as their being tried, and say, "Look, the man is keeping them down." They were the ones who put him in that situation.

HOROWITZ: Look what they did to the Vietnamese. They claimed to be the champions of the Vietnamese people against the American oppressor when the Vietnamese and the Cambodians were being slaughtered by the communists. They didn't utter a single word. They didn't care about them.

BECK: Where do we start?

HOROWITZ: I think you start with the inner cities of America. Every major inner city in America — Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia, Harlem, South Central, the city council in every one of those inner cities, the school board, the school district is 100 percent controlled by the Democratic Party, and Washington, D.C., of course, controlled — 100 percent controlled by the Democratic Party and the social justice crowd, and has been for 100 years.

Everything that's wrong in the inner cities that policy can affect, Democrats and progressives are responsible for. They have their boot heels on the necks of poor, black and Hispanic children everywhere in America, and the Republican Party lets them get away with it, never says a word about this.

If conservatives will start — will show these people — now, they're attacking old people. They want old people to die sooner. They don't want to give them the care that will keep them alive.

BECK: It's what Sarah Palin did.

HOROWITZ: That's what she did. That's why they hate her. She's very effective. You know, that is great.

And it shows you, they react, they yell, they squeal — and suddenly, the issue was in front of everybody. That's what you want to do.

The tea parties are great. They've taken American revolutionary symbol. And you remember the '60s kind of started with Jerry Rubin appearing in a revolutionary, you know, American revolutionary outfit. Yes, we're revolutionaries.

Now, see, if you get on the side of the underdog, and that's why they hate you and they hate O'Reilly because — no, I'm being serious. The romance of the underdog is the American romance, and it's because we were a little set of colonies. We went up against a big empire.

So, everybody thinks of themselves as an underdog. I mean, Martha Stewart, you know, Bill Gates, everybody is being picked on.

The Democrats are brilliant at pretending to be on your side. They never put a — look at the health care. How do they sell it? Forty-seven million people who can't get healthcare. We know that's a big lie, but that's what you do. You put in front — it's the human shield thing, the little black kid, little Hispanic kid, a woman, whatever, an old folk.

Republicans have to stop talking like businessmen and accountants, and stop talking and thinking of politics as a management problem. There's waste — yes, there's waste and inefficiency, but it's what they're doing to real people. That's their Achilles' heel.

For Those Who Think That The Media Is Telling America The Whole Story

Americans who rely on the network broadcasts or the nation's top newspapers for their news may have just learned about the weekend resignation of President Obama's "green jobs czar" or the firestorm of controversy that was set off weeks ago by the revelation of his past provocative statements.

Most of the major news outlets, like The New York Times, The Washington Post and CBS ignored the swelling heat surrounding former White House environmental adviser Van Jones and the videos surfacing of his controversial statements.

For weeks, conservative media led by FOX News commentator Glenn Beck has been criticizing Jones, a former self-avowed Marxist and anarchist, for his remarks and radical views, including his February denunciation of Republicans as "a**holes" -- a statement that came to light on Wednesday.

Jones issued two apologies last week -- for his statement on Republicans and for signing a petition that suggested the U.S. government was involved in the Sept 11. terrorist attacks -- and the White House responded to the growing controversy on Friday. Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said Jones continued to work in the administration and asserted that the president didn't agree with his controversial statements.

Yet most of the media still didn't pay attention even after Gibbs' comment.

CBS News became the first of the three broadcast networks on Friday to note the controversy, but ABC's "World News" and "NBC Nightly News" again failed to report the story. After Jones' midnight resignation over the weekend, all three networks aired the story on their Sunday evening newscasts. The Washington Post offered its first story on Saturday yet The New York Times' print edition didn't publish its first story until Monday -- a story that appeared on the front page, under the fold.

Democratic strategist Julian Epstein defended the media, saying they strive to provide balanced reporting and that their "passing coverage" was similar to their reports on the controversy surrounding Sen. John McCain's religious adviser last year during his presidential bid.

"I think some of the media is guilty of not covering things that are occurring on the right," he told FOX News. "Other parts of the media are guilty of not covering things adequately that are occurring on the left. I think every news organization has to strive to be balanced on this."

The booming calls for Jones' resignation and questions over his ability to land such a position wasn't just coming from Republicans. Democrats and security experts weighed in, wondering how Jones could have passed thorough and lengthy background checks and still land the job.

A cursory search of Jones would have revealed some of his most controversial statements including a speech in 2005 when he injected race into Columbine massacre, saying that black students don't commit mass school shootings.

But Jones is towering figure in the environmental world. A New York Times best-selling author and Yale law school graduate, Jones was named by Time Magazine in 2008 as one of their "Environmental Heroes."

Climate Change Conference:
Genocidal Global Warming Policies will Kill Hundreds of Millions

March 10, 2009 (EIRNS)—Yesterday, Dr. Arthur Robinson, Director of the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine and the originator of the petition against Al Gore's global warming hoax which as of now 32,000 scientists have signed, told the 2nd International Conference on Climate Change, that the people like Al Gore who promote global warming alarmism are committing genocide by the withdrawal of technology from the developing world. Speaking at the conference hosted by the Heartland Institute in New York City, he said, "there is a current example of genocide by the removal of technology, and that is the ban on DDT, and that has resulted in the deaths of 30 to 40 million people and has left half a billion infected with malaria."


Lindzen and other speakers noted that "the global mean temperature anomaly has not increased statistically significantly since at least 1995," adding that this does not disprove the warming thesis, but that "for the public this fact is likely to be crucial."

In his presentation to the conference, Lord Christopher Monckton used ridicule and humor in his attack on the genocidal fraud of global warming. Monckton said, "that the global warming alarmists should be referred to as bedwetters."

He called Al Gore's science advisor, James Hansen, the Dr. Strangelove of NASA, saying, "that Hansen's big scare of sea level rise of 426 feet was too preposterous to be believed and that the only threat from sea-level rise is the one being created by the bedwetters."

Monckton said, "There never was a climate crisis, there is not a climate crisis, and there will be no climate crisis. Since there is no climate crisis, the leaders of the world must have the courage to do nothing."

Monckton said that there is no climate crisis, and told the conference that the environmental movement has gone too far. "The environmental movement has to be outlawed, because their policies have murdered 40 million people, mainly children, with the ban on DDT." He added, "They have caused mass starvation and food riots with their nonsensical drive for bio-fuels. The forces of darkness in the environmental movement want create a new dark age in which humanity is pushed back to the Stone Age and without the right to light a fire."

Politicians treat voters like children on this issue offering two options:

Cap and Trade or Carbon Tax.

What about the third way - listen to the science? It's the sun, stupid.

There is no experimental evidence to support CO2 and AGW, or we'd have seen it. The house of cards was built decades ago and all the derivative 'research' since then has no scientific foundation.

Moreover, we have no practical alternative to hydrocarbons and we must leave the carbon economy in place. The problem however, is the leftie political/intellectual construct of "BIG OIL". The state of affairs, actually is that "REALLY BIG OIL", the national oil companies like Russia and Venezuela and all the rest of the inefficient and uncompetitive national oil companies (e.g., PEMEX) have driven prices through the roof by incompetence. It is fair to call these super giants “REALLY BIG OIL”. They sit on 93% of the resources and reserves. The US is suffering from NIMBY for certain, but gas in Europe is about $9.00 - $11.00 a gallon equivalent and rising for similar NIMBY reasons; unable to build refineries.

We are in for a fight. Most politicians know the truth about CO2 and are aware of the petition of 31,000 scientists who agree that CO2 is beneficial to life on the planet (Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine; released at the Washington Press Club), and that Kyoto would severely affect prosperity for the poor and those on fixed incomes. However, ‘real scientists with Ph.D.s’ (Doctor of Philosophy degrees) is not a constituency and that was an election year. Pols now cater to an humanist educated mass of humanity who are lured by demagogues and driven by fear or worst case fictional scenarios. Interestingly enough, politicians use politically correct subjects to coerce politically correct voters.

Quickly it basically works like this:

1. Get your subject to write something supporting your position.

2. Sometime later show them what they wrote IN THEIR OWN HANDWRITING supporting your position.

3. Then tell them that since they wrote this "voluntarily" they must therefore support your position.

Doing this to our children before they are able to think for themselves is INDOCTRINATION pure and simple and those behind it know it full well!
